ORDO

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

ORDO is a restaurant point-of-sale and management app used by restaurant staff. This policy explains what information the app collects, why it is collected, and what is done with it.

1. Information we collect

Restaurant staff accounts

  • Your name and role — to identify you within your restaurant's account.
  • Your login credentials — handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Your PIN is never stored in a form anyone, including us, can read.
  • Attendance and salary records — only if your restaurant chooses to use those features.

Guest information (rooms)

Restaurants that rent out rooms record details about their guests. This is the restaurant's own record, kept to meet the legal obligation every lodging house in India has to maintain a guest register. ORDO stores it on that restaurant's behalf — the restaurant decides what is collected and how long it is kept; we hold it for them.

  • Name and phone number — to identify the guest and reach them during their stay.
  • Check-in and check-out dates — to run the booking and calculate room charges.
  • Identity document details — recorded because a lodging house is legally required to maintain a guest register.

What it is used for: maintaining the guest register, building the guest's folio as food and room charges are added, and producing the final bill at checkout. It is not used for anything else, and never for advertising.

How long it is kept: for as long as the restaurant needs it for its own records and legal obligations. The restaurant controls this.

If you are a guest and want to see, correct, or delete the information a restaurant holds about you, ask that restaurant's owner first — it is their record. If you cannot reach them, contact us at the address at the bottom of this page and we will help you reach the restaurant.

2. How the information is used

Information is used only to operate the service: taking and preparing orders, delivering them, generating bills, and giving restaurant owners sales reports for their own restaurant.

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.

3. Where the information is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), on Google's servers. Google's own privacy terms apply to that storage, and can be read at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Each restaurant's data is kept separate. One restaurant cannot see another's orders, menu, staff or sales.

4. Who can see your information

  • Your restaurant's own staff — according to the role they are given (waiter or admin).
  • Nobody outside your restaurant. One restaurant's data is never visible to another.

5. Notifications

Notification permission is used only to alert restaurant staff about new orders and order updates. It is never used for marketing.

6. Location

This app does not collect or track your location.

7. Children

ORDO is intended for use by restaurant staff. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Your rights

You may ask for a copy of your information, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Contact your restaurant owner, or use the details below.

9. Data retention

Order records are kept so restaurants have accurate sales history and can handle refunds or disputes.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
